Ryland J. Mahre
Associate

Ryland practices in the areas of litigation, business and commercial law, real estate law, creditor-debtor law, and appellate advocacy. He has strong experience working in a variety of fields, allowing him to adapt quickly and best serve the needs of his clients.

Ryland grew up in Grand Junction, Colorado, surrounded by beautiful mountains and stunning vistas. He attended Colorado Mesa University, graduating in 2015 with a BFA in Theatre and a BA in Political Science, magna cum laude. Ryland then attended Seattle University School of Law, graduating in 2024, cum laude. During his time at Seattle University, Ryland worked for various government entities, including the 21st Judicial District of Colorado, the Pierce County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, and the Washington State Office of the Attorney General, Labor and Industries Division. Ryland also served on the American Indian Law Journal and published “How Redistricting Affects Native Representation; the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa” in 2024.

Before joining Carmichael Clark, Ryland interned for Justice Sheryl Gordon McCloud on the Washington Supreme Court.

When not practicing law, Ryland enjoys weightlifting, participating in theatre, reading science fiction and fantasy novels, and snowboarding. He is so happy to be living in Bellingham and serving the community.
