Rainier Cup

May 2nd, 2012 - Carmichael Clark

The Rainier Cup is awarded by Washington’s Campaign for Equal Justice. This Stanley Cup-style trophy is awarded annually to the county in Washington with the highest participation rate of attorneys donating to the statewide Campaign for Equal Justice. The Campaign for Equal Justice is the statewide unified annual fundraising drive that provides vital operating support to more than 20 civil legal aid programs in Washington. Whatcom County was the winner of the inaugural 2010 Campaign for Equal Justice Rainier Cup, with an outstanding 49% of Whatcom County attorneys donating to the campaign.

Whatcom County is blessed to have so many talented attorneys who are committed to equal justice and who show their commitment by volunteering their time and donating resources to support the civil legal aid. The winner of the 2011 Rainier Cup will be announced soon, and Carmichael Clark hopes Whatcom County will prevail again.

Carmichael Clark recently played host to the Rainier Cup trophy for a few weeks. Carmichael Clark was honored to have this trophy in its office. The trophy was proudly displayed prominently in the firm’s foyer for clients and other visitors to see.
